Stock Market Update - Nov 18, 2015

If we look at the weekly chart, both DJIA and S&P 500 start to show that they're starting to go sideways or even down.


Both weekly charts say the market has ended its bullish trend. We could see that DJIA and S&P 500 broke their channels' support 13 weeks ago and last week they bounced back from their new resistances.
And if we look at the longer timeframe (monthly chart) they are still on their way to make their new 52 weeks high.


It's time to monitor your stocks everyday.

Do We Have to Stay Away from the Market?

The charts tell that we still could not predict whether the stock market would go higher or lower. We could see that the weekly charts of Dow Jones and S&P 500 say the market has broken its bullish channel and it is now moving downward.



However, if we take a look at the longer term charts, they're saying that we have to wait for any longer.



It's recommended to wait until the charts show more proof about the trend, since there is a probability the market would bounce from its channel'support and continue to rally.

Stock Pick for Dec 14th, 2012: KLA-Tencor Corporation (KLAC)

Hi fellow trader, how's your portfolio today? Well since there are some of my stocks which going up and there are some going down today, I have not received any gain or loss yet. But I still have a confidence that with a good money management I can limit my risk and maximize my profit. So virtually I just bought KLA-Tencor Corporation (KLAC) at $47.51 each, added one stock into my current portfolio. I bought it because the company's price broke its descending triangle's resistance, went back to its new support, and the price rebounded this morning. I'm quite sure this stock price could increase as fast as possible to its major resistance at $53. And to keep risk to a minimum, I set a stop loss order at $46.50. How about you?

Today's Stock Pick: Ryland Group Inc (RYL)

Hi, I don't really like today as the broad market goes down. But it does not matter for me because I don't trade stocks for short term and I also set stop loss to all my stocks. Virtually, I just bought Ryland Group Inc (RYL) at $34.39 each because it just bounced from its bullish price channel. How about my temporary target price? I think it would reach $39 in about two to three weeks from now. Now I hold six stocks in my hand and let's see the growth. I will do a consistent evaluation to improve my trading skill. :)

Stock Picks Review for Dec 12, 2012

Hi fellow trader, I just bought another stocks (virtually) in the first trading session. They are Beacon Roofing Supply Inc (BECN - I bought it at $32.42), Cloud Peak Energy Inc (CLD - bought it at $20.16) and Wynn Resorts Ltd (WYNN - at $111.89). All of them formed bullish price channel and their price just rebounded from their channels' support. With those added stocks, I now have a portfolio of 5 stocks. Now I will set a stop loss for each stock, so I do not have to monitor my stocks all the time. :)

Stock Tips for Dec 10, 2012

Hello, this is my first post after I left this blog in mid 2010. I apologize for that, it's because I have to study for my degree. I just finished my bachelor degree so I can spend some of my time to give daily stock tips for you. Actually I just made a virtual trading account, and I have $200k in my virtual account. But I will just use $5k to trade (one of the reason is because someday I want to start my real account with a small account of fund, so I have to use a small money in my virtual account too). Okay let's straight to the point. I just bought Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) at $41.42 because it formed a cup with handle pattern (started from September), and today it breaks the resistance and makes a new 52 week high. The other stock is The Dow Chemical Company (DOW) at $30.575 because it broke the falling wedge pattern on last Friday. The price is still moving up today so I think it would continue to rise. Okay those are my "first" stocks to start my virtual account, stay tuned and we will see how I grow my account. See you!

Today's Stock: Alaska Air Group Inc (ALK)

Look I'm generous and still give more information about great stock today. Alaska Air has almost broke its resistance ($38)yesterday with its great buy volume. And it continues it way today, completely breaks the resistance and I think the buy volume will be greater than yesterday. So what are you waiting for guys? :)

Hi traders, today I found a stock that has its breakout. Portfolio Recovery Associates Inc (PRAA) has broke its major resistance at around $50. You can also see that MACD indicates the stock will go higher. There is only one problem, that although the stock has tripled on its volume, but it still has a low volume (around 300.000) so I think the stock has less liquidity.
